The barrel looks to have been cut with extremely dull tooling as the rifling is very inconsistent and chatter marks throughout. It’s the worst new barrel I’ve ever seen. I just went to the Taurus website and looked up the production year, and after entering the serial number, the production year is given as 2011. My SN is SDN512XX, and I probably won't ever know when it was manufactured. It does function perfectly though.
