You mean Boo. There is actually a bomb that you get from destroying one of the cobwebs in the corner to the left directly of that picture. Then you can use said bomb to throw at the wall and will guaranteed clear the hole. There are some bombs on the floor in the room. You can throw one into the hole to open it up.
