Maytag Bravos makes horrible grinding noise but still works I have a Maytag Bravos mvwx655dw1. It works and washes fine, but it makes this horrible grinding noise. It seems to make it only when the agitator is engaged. I took the tub out and cleaned the spline gears that hold the tub/agitator, and they seem to be fine.
