On the 1500, the service manul says a special tool is need to pull the spark plug tubes, but you can fashion a tool out of the rear axle nut and unscrew the tube. I'd bet the 800 is similar. Check to insure that the hose has enough play, and is not binding anywhere. If it binds, you could be interfering with the clutch action, and could pull the hose from it's fittings, creating a leak, and no clutch action/shifting. On fuel pump side of the harness still plugged in, push red meter probe into connector to touch pin with black/yellow wire, black meter lead to touch green pin. 2.
