I currently own a 2017 Jetta S with a 5m transmission. I've had it for the past year and I've grown a love/hate relationship with it. For context, my last car was a 2011 TL with awd. I learned how to drive a manual with the Jetta and has been a blast in that sense. It's also my first car with a turbo/good fuel economy.22 VW Jetta vs 22 Toyota Corolla. My mom's 2005 caddy with 180k km on it, as well. Working on the AC isn't really a DIY thing, as you'd need special gauges and testing gas to find the leak - it's a closed and sealed system, so low gas means leak, which will cost you money in a few weeks again
