Suggestion to the OP, replace the main battery, disconnect the aux negative battery cable, pull the F42 fuse and go enjoy your Jeep and don't worry about this happening again. Add the smart auto stop/start module and use ESS when you want or just shut it off and not have to worry about the button it will remember its last setting.The ESS uses the 48v battery when the engine has eTorque, the 2.0 eTorque was dropped and replaced with just ESS. To break this down, all Wranglers have 2 batteries. Regular ESS models have the main 12v and small 12v auxiliary battery eTorque models have the main 12v and 48v secondary battery. Finally got around to deleting the aux battery this weekend as I needed to replace the main battery. Removed the main battery. Removed the aux battery. Taped up the aux battery cable ends very well. Removed fuse F42. Installed the new main battery. Started up the Jeep and everything looked good.
