Since we're here, how do you sue for peace as an independent faction? Find enemy lord and offer peace through dialogue which leads to barter. It's some tens of thousands of denars most of time. Literally just paying 50k to everyone to ♥♥♥♥ off after you get what you want. An easy way to get a clan in your kingdom is to look at the minor clans and see which ones aren't being bought by a bigger kingdom. They have contracts so they eventually run out and you can cop them. You'll have to pay them tho as mercs. They do not request to join you.
